BIOGRAPHY
Gil Lagziel (GIZU) is a contemporary Israeli artist based in Herzliya.
A graduate of the 3D Art program at IAC College, his artistic journey bridges the precision of digital sculpting with the raw, tactile energy of physical canvas.

I’ve always been fascinated by the visual language of our time, including the symbols, brands, and iconic faces that shape our daily culture. My journey into art started in the digital world, working with 3D design and digital sculpting. While that world taught me how to build form and character, I felt a strong pull to bring that energy onto the physical canvas, where every brushstroke is raw and immediate.
Today, my art lives at the intersection of art history, pop culture, and high fashion. I take globally recognized figures from history and art to modern media and strip away their traditional contexts. By infusing them with vibrant color palettes, strong contrasts, and a touch of attitude, I give them a completely new, unexpected life.
Every piece is created to be experienced on multiple levels. From afar, the work commands attention with its bold colors and unmistakable subjects. Up close, it reveals unexpected symbols and details that invite you to discover something new.
For me, canvas, acrylics, and spray paint are ways to remix reality. I create art that doesn’t ask for permission. It commands attention, sparks a reaction, and brings a bold, modern energy into any space it inhabits.
